A landmark of Provo history, the fine old Knight Mansion on Center Street, has over the past 70 years been transformed into one of the country’s finest mortuaries, the Berg Mortuary.

Significant in this transformation has been the retention of the charm and dignity of the past, blended with the efficiency and comfort of the present.

Thus, the very structure of the mortuary itself reflects the service philosophy of the Berg family, and the personnel who make up the staff of the institution.

The warm and friendly décor of the Drawing Room Chapel with the adjacent Oak Room, and Mahogany Room, provide appropriate surroundings for a small family service or a large public gathering. The combined rooms seat 400 people.

The personal comfort of the family and friends is cared for in every way. The entire mortuary is air conditioned and all entrances and exits have canopy protection to paved parking areas. Adjacent parking is available.

Completely apart from the family and public rooms are the mortuary service departments. Here displayed in appropriate surroundings is Central Utah’s largest casket and burial clothing selection. Adjacent to this area is the mortuary’s modern operating room.

Everything about the Berg Mortuary of Provo, from the reverent tones of the "Peholler" pipe organ in the Drawing Room Chapel, to the tapestry walls and fine old woods of the foyer, contributes to the serenity and dignity of every Berg service.
