Adele Dobson Steele slipped from this life quietly into the arms of her Heavenly Father Monday, October 15, 2012, due to causes incident to age. She was born November 5, 1911, in Richfield, Utah, to George Watson Dobson and Rhoda Adele Ogden. Her mother died when she was 13 years old. Two years later her father married Lizzie Whicker. Combined, their family now had 12 children. Adele was raised in Delta, Utah, where she met Alton D. Steele. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple November 5, 1931, after Alton's LDS mission to Oregon. She lived most of her life in Provo, Utah, where they raised three children. She is survived by children, Kay Steele Killpack (Wayne); Alton Darryl (Lynda Webb) Steele; and Ronald Gary (Susan Ellis) Steele. Adele loved flowers and gardening, dancing, celebrating Christmas, and spending time with her children, 11 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren who lovingly called her Bonnie Dell. She adored all little children, and they were drawn to her as well. She was a master storyteller and teacher, a wonderful cook and homemaker, and loved to entertain friends and loved ones. Adele served an LDS mission to Florida in 1982. Adele was preceded in death by her husband, Alton; her parents; sisters Jeta, Mae, and Mary Beth; and her beloved brothers Blaine and Chad; as well as granddaughter Jeanette and great-granddaughter Misty. A brief service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 19, 2012 at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street. Interment, East Lawn Memorial Hills.
