    Barbara Ann Gledhill

    September 6, 1934 - March 6, 2019

    Barbara Ann Gledhill passed away peacefully March 6, 2019 after a long illness. Barbara was born in Provo, UT on September 6, 1934 to Lester Vest Johnson and Anna Lucia Kelsch. She grew up and attended schools in Provo, UT graduating from Provo High School in 1952. Shortly after graduating she married Gordon Earl Boylan-Brooks. They were later divorced. She later married Farrell “Pete” Nephi Gledhill on November 4, 1955. Their marriage was solemnized in the Provo Temple on October 6, 1981. Barbara worked many different jobs but was most proud of working for BYU as a custodian supervisor and retiring after 25 years of service. Barbara loved baking, crafting and painting. She cherished working in different positions within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She also served a service mission for the church. Barbara is survived by children, Karen Barbara Watson, Grand Junction, CO; Lou Ann (Michael) Forshee, Provo, UT; Gloria Measom, Provo, UT; Boyd (Margaret) F. Gledhill, Vernal, UT; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, William (Bill) Lester Gledhill and her husband, Farrell “Pete” Nephi Gledhill as well as her parents and two brothers, William (Bill) Johnson and Bruce Johnson. Her family would like to thank the many doctors, aids and personnel of the Parkway Health and Rehab, Payson Hospital and Utah Valley Regional Hospital as well as the Maple Creek Hospice personnel for their kind and loving care. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Payson City Cemetery, 805 East 400 North, Payson, Utah. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, Tuesday, March 12 from 6-8:00 p.m. Condolences may be expressed at www.bergmortuary.com.
