Childs Johnson Obituary (1931

Geneil C. Johnson was born April 8, 1931 in Springville, Utah to Chauncey Huntington Childs and Erva Carling. She graduated from Springville High School in 1949 and attended the University of Utah for 3 years in the Nursing program. She served an LDS mission to the Western Canadian Mission and met Alton F. Johnson whom she would later marry in the Salt Lake City Temple in 1955. She would later live in New Mexico, Arizona, Alberta, Canada and back in Utah. She is loved by many and will be missed for the way she lightened the loads of many and brightened their lives through love, music, and friendship. She is survived by her Husband Alton Frederick, her children: David, Rebecca, Steven and Rachel and 20 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son Mark. She has 1 living brother Carling Childs of Fullerton, California. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 7, 2011 at the Rivergrove 2nd Ward Chapel, 800 North 700 West, Provo, Utah. Friends may call at the church from 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
