Christian Vernile Johnson Obituary (1960

Christian Vernile Johnson, also known as Chris, was born December 2, 1960 in Provo, Utah to Burdett (Bud) Johnson and Carol Garfield Johnson. He passed away at home February 26, 2024 in Provo. He attended Provo city schools and graduated from Provo High in 1979. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, an Eagle Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow. Chris had one son, Henry Christian Johnson. Before his health problems, he owned and operated Johnson Heating and Cooling. He could fix and repair almost anything, especially bicycles. He was a good friend and had many friends. In his younger, healthy years, he skied, was a pretty good golfer, and enjoyed camping and fishing. After his health worsened, he enjoyed his guitar and playing solitaire on his computer. Chris is survived by his son Henry, mother Carol, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Burdett, brothers Burdett Weston Johnson and Dale Trent Johnson; grandparents Vernile and Edna Johnson; Henry Christian and Garnet Garfield. A graveside dedication will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, March 1, 2024 at the Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street, Provo, Utah. The family will receive friends at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to services at the cemetery.
