Clark Milo DeWolf Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Clark Milo DeWolf passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016. He was born November 25, 1937 in Hollywood, California to Thora Clark and Eldred LaDue DeWolf. He spent his younger years in California and came to Utah as a teenager. He attended Provo High School and graduated with the class of ‘55. Clark was in love with cars and diesel trucks. After High School he worked for his grandpa Jim Clark at James H. Clark & Sons Trucking. He met Janice Bliss in the autumn of 1958 and she quickly became the true love of his life. Clark and Janice were married in her parent’s backyard on August 20, 1959. They spent a long and happy life together living in Provo. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Provo Utah Temple on September 3, 1983. Determined to be a good husband and father, Clark decided to support his family by working in the family business, Zion Upholstering, Inc. Clark worked side by side with their family for almost 50 years. He built lovely custom furniture and crafted and installed beautiful draperies and window coverings all over Utah, Idaho and Nevada. Clark was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed serving as a ward clerk and counselor in the bishopric and a member of the Stake High Council at B.Y.U. He was generous with his time, resources and talents. He was always looking for ways to help and serve other people. Clark was an antique car enthusiast. Over his lifetime, he restored and collected many beautiful cars. He enjoyed sharing his passion by participating in local parades and car shows. He won several awards for his restoration work. He and Janice enjoyed traveling and spending time with their friends in the Utah Valley Old Car Club and the VMCCA. He also had a passion for collecting antique toys. He especially loved collecting anything Disney and the DeWolf’s have many happy memories visiting Disneyland. Clark’s greatest joy was his family. He was most proud of his 3 children, 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was a living encyclopedia of the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren and would share them with anyone who had a few minutes or a few hours to listen. He will be missed greatly by his family, friends, and others that knew him. He is survived by his wife, Janice Bliss DeWolf; his children and their spouses, Natalie and Bryan Burr, Mitch and Michele DeWolf and Melanie and Jeff Rhineer; grandchildren, Heather Taylor, Benjamin Burr, Adam Burr, Cameron Burr, Marcus Burr, Matthew Burr, Mykenzie Hydo, Maddison Daines, Meg DeWolf, Mia Rhineer, Maximus Rhineer and Talia Rhineer, 18 great-grandchildren and his sister, JoElla Christensen. The family would like to express their gratitude for those who helped care for Clark during his final years. We thank the kind staff of TenderCare Hospice and especially Melanie, Melissa, Jake, Shelly, Rick and Maisa. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Provo Utah Stake Center Chapel, 1315 East 900 South, Provo, Utah. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street Friday, May 20, from 6-8:00 p.m. and at the church Saturday, from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
