    Dennis Robert Hall

    November 24, 1952 - June 22, 2018

Dennis Robert Hall passed away suddenly on June 22, 2018, after struggling with his health for several years. Dennis was a beloved Father, Grandfather, business owner and friend. He was born to Robert Billings Hall and Emma Joy Gledhill on Nov. 24, 1952, in Los Angeles, California. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) to the New England states from 1972 to 1974. He attended Dixie State College and Brigham Young University and remained a lifelong BYU fan. During his professional life, Dennis was an Owner/Operator of McDonald’s restaurants in the Provo/Springville area. He was a mentor to many. He cared deeply for his employees and considered them his "McDonald's family”. His personality was larger than life. Some of his best qualities were his sense of humor, his optimism, his sense of duty and his loyalty. He donated generously to charitable causes through his businesses. He was active in the community and served as a member and Chairman of the Provo City Council. Despite his challenges he had unwavering faith and valued church service. He enjoyed serving with the young men, in the Elders Quorum, as a BYU single's ward Bishop, with family history and as a temple worker. He treasured spending time with his children and grandchildren. If his family needed him, he was always there. He had a deep love of music, loud music, all the time, and everywhere. He sang with passion and heart at the top of his lungs. It was once said of him, “what he lacked in pitch, he made up for in enthusiasm”. He loved riding Harley Davidsons, boating and attending sporting events. Dennis is survived by his sister Linda (Paul) Hall Duncombe, and his five children, Juliet (Rob) Roxburgh, Tamie (Ryan) Heaton, Katie (Tucker) Boyle, Robert (Sarah) Hall and Daniel (Lyssa) Hall. He also considered Amy Huston and Kristine L. Koncher as part of his family. He has 22 grandchildren. He will be dearly missed. Please join us for funeral services which will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Oak Hills Hillside LDS Chapel, 1960 North 1500 East, Provo, Utah. We invite friends and family to call at a viewing from 9:00 a.m.-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Eastlawn Memorial Hills Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at www.bergmortuary.com.
