October 15, 1936 - February 29, 2020
Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Doil E. Waters, 83, passed away peacefully on February 29, 2020, surrounded by his family at his home in Provo, Utah after a prolonged illness. Doil was born in Provo on October 15, 1936 to Lenard Mark Waters and Edna Etta Rodeback Waters. He proudly served his country in the Korean War. He married his sweetheart, Gail Jolley on January 10, 1957. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in June of 1962. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served 42 years as a member of the Utah County Sherriff’s Jeep Patrol. One of his greatest joys in life was serving others. He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends for his incredible strength, unwavering love and dedication to his family. He loved all things outdoors and his love of the Native American culture gave him many happy hours chipping arrowheads and making peace pipes. Doil is survived by his wife of 63 years, Gail; daughters, Karen (Kelly) Farrer of Provo and Patricia (Jesse) Davis of Mt. Pleasant; 8 grandkids and 24 great-grandkids. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Provo Grandview West Stake Center, 1600 North 1880 West, Provo, Utah. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday morning from 11:30 until 12:45. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
