Doyne Enid Housekeeper Clark

Doyne Enid Housekeeper Clark took her peaceful journey home to be with her forever sweetheart August 26, 2014. Doyne was born November 26, 1922 in Sugarville, Utah to John Iris and Enid Rose Mae Peterson Housekeeper. The family moved to Provo when she was six. Doyne received her education in Provo city schools and at BYU. Her first year at Provo High, she met her forever sweetheart, Dean F. Clark. They were married January 7, 1943 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Doyne began working at an early age for Dr. C.M. Smith who was a city physician. Later she was employed as a secretary at Geneva Steel. Doyne served her church as a primary councilor in the Stake. She also loved helping the boys with scouts, especially teaching them their knot tying. Later she became Stake and Ward Librarian, establishing a library in the new ward building. She enjoyed her work serving at the Eldred Center which she did for many years. Doyne loved her family and friends, always there when needed with a warm and gentle kindness. Doyne is survived by her sons, Alan H Clark, Provo, UT, Brent H Clark, Springville, UT, and David H (Janet) Clark, Provo, UT; siblings, Ruby Christenson and Gary (Nancy) Housekeeper; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Housekeeper and Carole Clark Hood; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Doyne was preceded in death by her husband, Dean F. Clark; Son, Roger Dean Clark; granddaughter, Tara Marie Clark; her parents; 3 brothers, Don, Hal and John Claren; and 2 sisters, Anna and Maxine. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the Bonneville 4th Ward Chapel, 1289 East 300 South, Provo, Utah. Friends may call from 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, East Lawn Memorial Hills.
