Harold Bert Bandley

“Together Again” Harold Bert Bandley, age 94, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2015 at Maple Springs Assisted and Independent Living Community in Brigham City, Utah from natural causes. He was born on February 24, 1921 in Provo, Utah to Thomas Bert Bandley and Martha Strong Bandley. Harold was educated in Provo City schools and graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in marketing and minors in accounting and economics. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a full-time mission in the New England States mission from 1941-1943. He married his eternal sweetheart Rosalind Dahlquist on October 19, 1944 in the Logan LDS Temple. Shortly after their marriage, Harold was called to serve in the South Pacific for two years during World War II. Harold worked for Geneva Steel until his retirement in 1983. Harold is survived by his 5 children, Thomas D. (Melinda); John D. (Helen), both of Orem; Julie (Dave) Geldmacher of St. George; Susan (Brian) McQuivey of Pleasant View; and Bonnie (Brad) Horton of Brigham City; 17 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thomas Joseph Bandley; and his wife of 64 years, Rosalind Dahlquist Bandley. Special thanks to the Maple Springs staff for their loving care and the special friendships he made there, and Integrity Home Health and Hospice. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street, Provo, Utah where military honors will be performed.
