Ila Eleanor Scott Rees passed away April 29, 2011 in Provo, Utah. She was born March 14, 1917 to Margaret F. Duke and David Scott. She married Leon Clarence Rees on October 7, 1937. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. He later passed away May 2, 1988. She was active in the LDS church holding many positions. She was also an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was an avid bowler and bowled on many leagues throughout the years. She loved working in her garden and her flowers were always beautiful. She also enjoyed fishing and camping. She is survived by her children: David S. Rees, Carol Ann Holley, Jerry L. Rees (Debi), Mary Margaret Pettit (Ray), and Kathryn Jex (Michael). She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Clarence Rees, siblings, and one great-great-granddaughter. She had requested that there be no funeral for her. Graveside services will be Monday, May 2, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at East Lawn Memorial Hills, 4800 North 650 East, Provo, Utah. Services are being taken care of by Berg Mortuary. The family would like to thank Hearts for Hospice and Trinity Mission Nursing Health & Rehab for making her last days comfortable and for supporting the family in their time of need.
