Jim Dickey passed away August 9, 2011 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born August 24, 1956 to Aaron and Marion Dickey in Anchorage, Alaska. Jim graduated from Orem High School in 1974. He served in the United States Army and was proud of the services he provided for his country. He loved old cars, motorcycles, and airplanes and attained his private pilot’s license. He was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and often gave his time working in the Provo Temple. He was employed as a machinist for Maca, and worked for Geneva Steel for many years. He is survived by his parents, two sons, Scott (Lillian), Thayne (Sarah), daughters Alyse and Briauna Mason, granddaughter Piper Nache’, fiancée and sweetheart Lynn Dampier and her daughter Diana, siblings Gerald (Susie), Benjamin (Toni), Faydene Nottingham, Mary Jo Smith, Glen, Joseph (Jessica), Daniel (Natasha), and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jim is preceded in death by two sisters, Donna Molyneux, Sharon Dickey, and daughter Mary Ruth Dickey. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Spanish Fork 10th Ward Chapel, 585 North Main Street, Spanish Fork. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, Friday evening from 6 until 8 and at the church Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services.
