James Fred Liddiard

James Fred Liddiard was called home to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 13, 2015. He was born in Provo, Utah on April 10, 1925, to Fred and Pearl Liddiard. On May 23, 1947, he married his sweetheart, Barbara Heinerman and they were blessed with five sons. Jim graduated from Provo High School. He served in the United States Navy from August 1943 to March 1946. Jim co-owned and operated Lidco Masonry. He completed many projects throughout Utah and received awards for his outstanding work – an accomplishment he was very proud of. Jim also owned and operated The Sports Shop Pool Hall in Provo. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge #849. He was also a member of the LDS Church. Jim loved camping, hunting, traveling with his wife in their R.V. and was most well known for their parties and entertaining friends and family on the deck. He is survived by his sons; Scot (Ricki), Blake, Cory (Mauna) and Kelly (Melanie); 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, son, Bradley, grandson, Dakota Glen, and sister, Margene Harding. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2015 in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center Street, Provo, Utah. Friends may call at the mortuary on Tuesday morning from 10 until 10:50 prior to services. Interment will be in the Eastlawn Memorial Hills Cemetery, Provo, Utah, where full military honors will be accorded. Condolences may be sent to the family through www.bergmortuary.com.
