Jerry Keith Kendall
November 18, 1930 - June 19, 2020
Jerry Keith Kendall, beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully in his home in the morning of June 19, 2020. Jerry was born in Provo, Utah to Amelia Bowles and Kenneth F. Kendall on November 18, 1930. He served in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. Following his service, he dedicated over 30 years to work as an electrician for Provo City Power. He married the love of his life, Lila Payne, on September 10, 1954 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together, they welcomed seven children into the world. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many different capacities, including serving a mission with his wife in Des Moines, Iowa. Jerry is survived by his wife, Lila; children, Dean (Michelle), Deborah (Claude), Diana (Steve), Denise (Dave), Dan (Cathi), Dalene (Jeff), and Dawnell (Kevin); sister, Shirley Hendry; brother, Dick Kendall; 23 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and one on the way! He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kent Kendall and Bob Kendall; and grandson, Alex Cottrell. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 25, 2020 at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center Street, Provo, Utah. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, Wednesday, June 24 from 6-8:00 p.m. and from 10-10:50 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Provo City Cemetery.
