Kay Mangum Sorensen passed away October 16, in Provo, Utah. Kay was born September 22, 1935 in Nutrioso, Arizona. She attended Mesa High School, where she met her future husband. Kay went on to graduate from BYU before returning to Arizona to teach elementary school in the towns of Eager and Chandler. She is survived by Sanford, her husband of 55 years, her children, Stephanie, Shelly, Sheri, Scott, Steven, and Shaun, as well as 22 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Kay leaves behind not just a loving family, but a legacy of friendship, fellowship and kindness. She took great pride in her skill as a homemaker and in her service for the church, both of which brought joy to many people over the years. From the enduring warmth of her exquisite quilts to the momentary bliss of perfect caramels, Kay offered comfort and hospitality to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 24, 2015 in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center Street, Provo, Utah. Friends may call from 9:30-10:15 a.m. prior to services.
