    Kelly Kerby Smith

    December 5, 1956 - November 6, 2015

Kelly Kerby Smith, 58, passed away unexpectedly at his home in South Jordan on Friday, November 6, 2015. Kelly was born December 5, 1956 in Provo, Utah to loving parents Lawrence "Bud" and Viola Kerby Smith. Kelly grew up in Edgemont, Provo and graduated from Utah Valley Community College as an electrician. He helped his father on the family farm and loved spending time with his mother. His real passion was motocross racing and working on motorcycles. He had more first place trophies than he could count. He would ride anytime he got the chance. He had 4 children who he loved very much. He was a wonderful man with a very kind and forgiving heart and shared everything he had with the people around him. He had the opportunity to travel to many places either for work or for fun. He had the chance to work in California and Puerto Rico and even lived in Georgia for a few years but he always returned home to Utah for his mom and his family. He spent the last year of his life in the comfort of his home that he shared with his daughter Dana and son in-law Bradley and his granddaughter. He could always make you smile even in the worst situation. He had a great sense of humor and had many loyal friends. He was loved by everyone that knew him. He was an amazing father and grandfather and he will be missed intensely. Kelly is survived by two sons and two daughters, Jason Smith, Mathew (Terry) Smith, Danielle (Josh) Eggen and Dana (Bradley) Geake; 11 grandchildren with one on the way and one great-grandchild. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Berg Mortuary of Orem, 500 North State Street. Friends may call at the mortuary from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.bergmortuary.com.
