Kristen Dale Kuhni Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Kristen Dale Kuhni died unexpectedly on Monday, August 22, 2011 while at work. Kris was born on November 27, 1958 in Provo and was the third son of Glade and Marilyn Kuhni. Kris graduated from Provo High School. As a youth Kris worked for the Kuhni family business with his father and his uncles. He loved trucks and to drive and as soon as he was old enough he went to work as a truck driver. He had a natural feel for machinery and mechanical equipment and was admired for his ability as an operator of any kind of equipment. He was an Elder in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and when he was younger, largely due to the influence of his cousin Hans, he chose to serve as a missionary. He was assigned to serve in the England, London South Mission. Kris had some turmoil in his life but he was a tender man and loved his family. Kris married Bonnie Grigor in November 2003 in the Provo LDS Temple and since that time they've lived in Spanish Fork. Kris and Bonnie love their neighbors and have enjoyed the close relationship that they have had with several friends they've associated and traveled with. Kris was working for Peck Trucking Company where he had worked on and off over the years and was always appreciative of his friends and co-workers where he worked, especially the Peck Family. Kris was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Sharla Hirsche, his older brother John Karl Kuhni and his father Glade W Kuhni. He is survived by his wife Bonnie, step-son Richard Hirsche, step-daughters Suzanne (Kameron) Francom and Barbara (Mat) Cuel, brothers Ken (Vickie) and David (Kristine) Kuhni and his mother, Marilyn – Mickey Joseph. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 29, 2011 at the Maple Meadows 1st Ward Chapel, 1911 East 1850 South, Spanish Fork. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center, Sunday evening from 6 until 8 and at the church Monday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Provo City Cemetery.
