    Kristy Lynn Kelling O’Reilly

    February 21, 1986 - September 10, 2020

Kristy Lynn Kelling O’Reilly, 34, from Utah County, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020, of an accidental heroin overdose after many years of struggling with addiction. She was born to Sven W. Kelling and Lisa Holland Kelling on February 21, 1986. Was married to Roah Garrett O’Reilly July 3, 2006. She is survived by her husband, Roah O’Reilly; parents, Lisa & Sven Kelling; siblings, Kasia Kelling (RJ Taylor), Kiera Kelling (Kyle Bye), Zachary Kelling (Katlyn Wilkins), Ryker Kelling (Jude Stowell), Kassie Kelling (Nik Law), and Kamry Kelling; grandfather, Hans Kelling; grandmother, Anne Curtis; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Kristy is preceded in death by her grandmother, Joyce Kelling, grandfather, Vern Holland, and her fur baby, Bo Jangles. Kristy would never want to be defined only by her addiction and one last deadly mistake. Her life was about much more than that! We believe she would have wanted others to know if she was to ever pass away as a result of her addiction. She would want people to know the truth and hope that the honesty about her death would in some way help others realize that it can affect so many families and hopefully in some way contribute to finding a solution to the problem of addiction that is taking away so many lives. Kristy was a very beautiful, intelligent, kind, and grateful person. She always wanted to help others and would do anything to try and help them at the same time she was struggling with those same demons. She loved her family so much and always had the desire to someday make them proud! She constantly told her parents she would beat this addiction and one day make them proud, even though they already were proud of her and proud to be her parents from the moment she was born!
