Lenore Marshall Fearnley Obituary (1932

Lenore Marshall Fearnley passed away peacefully on January 23, 2018 surrounded by family and love. She had a sweet and loving spirit that left the lives of all she touched a little brighter. She was a beloved wife and mother, as well as a mathematician and math educator. Lenore was born on February 3, 1932 in Kenilworth, Utah to Alison and Lillian Marshall. She was the youngest of 4 sisters. She graduated from the University of Utah with a M.S. degree in mathematics, and went on to teach mathematics at Westminster College, Brigham Young University, and Utah Valley Community College. Lenore was married to Lawrence Fearnley, and had 3 children and 4 grandchildren. She was a devoted mother who helped her children achieve their academic goals, and she was so proud when all three earned their PhD. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Fearnley, and by her children: Laurel Langford, Alyson Shapiro, and David Fearnley. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Nathan, Rowan and Michael Langford, and Michael Fearnley. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her sisters: Zella Jones, Ruth Brewer, and Venice Howard. Funeral services will be held on February 3rd, with a family reception at 11:00 a.m. and funeral service at 12:00 p.m. The funeral and reception will take place at the Oak Hills Fourth Ward church at 925 E North Temple Dr., Provo, Utah.
