Lucille Peart
August 8, 1932 - June 18, 2011
Our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, returned to her heavenly home on Saturday, June 18, 2011 of congestive heart failure in Provo, Utah. Lucille was born August 8, 1932 to Francis G. and Hilda B. Pulley in American Fork, Utah. She was married to Glenn Joseph Peart on January 19, 1965 at her parents' home. They were later sealed in the Provo, Utah Temple. Lucille was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved the gospel and had a strong testimony of our Savior. She held many church positions; visiting teacher, homemaking leader, Relief Society President, and Primary President. Mom's favorite calling was Primary. She made birthday cakes for every child's birthday. She wanted them to feel important on their special day. She loved every child in her ward and they loved her. She grew up in American Fork where she helped her father on their turkey farm. They raised many turkeys for most of their lives. She loved camping with her family, loved making crafts, especially making quilts for every grandchild. Lucille loved every holiday and having big family dinners at her home. Our best family tradition was mom's wonderful Christmas parties. We would have a complete Thanksgiving dinner. Santa would visit and bring the grandchildren and great-grandchildren presents of Christmas pajamas. We have so many pictures of all our children in pajamas with mom and Santa. Wonderful memories. Mom made the best chocolates for Christmas and beautiful wedding cakes and delicious dinner rolls. Mom perfected her mother's dinner roll recipe and made them for all of our family parties. Everyone will greatly miss her! She is survived by her two sisters and brother: Bonnie Tingen, American Fork, Utah; Francell (Roger) Bottomfield, Gilbert, Arizona; Dallas (Renee) Pulley, Salem, Utah and children: Paulette Howard, Provo, Utah; Jeffery (Valynne) Spencer, American Fork, Utah; Marlin (Jill) Spencer, Melbourne, Australia; Sandra (Roy) Batty, Palmyra, Utah as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Glenn, her son, Steven Sean Peart, granddaughters Lori Ann Hamilton and Phoebe Spencer, a grandson, Quinn Thomas Batty, and a nephew Layne Bottomfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 24, 2011 at the Grandview East Stake Center, 1081 West 1060 North, Provo. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, Thursday evening from 6 until 8 and at the church Friday one hour prior to services. Interment, American Fork City Cemetery.
