Marilyn Janice Walt
October 8, 1961 - March 2, 2018
Marilyn Janice Walt, 56, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018. She was born October 8, 1961 to Richard and Georgia Walt of Pasadena, Texas. Marilyn is preceded in death by her mother Georgia Walt and is survived by her best friend Kelly Sprenz, father Richard Walt and siblings Richard Walt Jr, Heidi Lowrey and Donald Walt. Marilyn was a very positive, upbeat person who loved to laugh and have a good time especially when she was not doing well. She was a Star Wars and Disneyland fanatic and could do a great Donald Duck impression. Marilyn was artistic, a talented musician, and a graphic designer who taught graphic arts at UVU for 10 years. She was passionate about the latest Apple electronics as she spent her spare time working on her computer, playing Lego video games and watching movies, especially her favorite movie series Star Wars. Marilyn would not read a book unless she read the last chapter first and then would decide if she was going to read the book. Marilyn enjoyed being the first one to dip into a fresh jar of peanut butter or jam. She was kind, giving, funny, opinionated, intelligent, loyal, feisty and a great friend. Marilyn will be missed by all those who were touched by her life, but especially those who called her nanny and video game grandma. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Lakeside 8th Ward, 131 South 1600 West, Provo, Utah. Condolences may be expressed at www.bergmortuary.com.
