Mark Douglas Lunt

Mark Douglas Lunt of Provo, Utah peacefully returned home to his loving Savior on August 14, 2014. He was born November 15, 1952 in Seattle, Washington to his loving parents, Carma Burningham and Henry Douglas Lunt. He enjoyed living in Lander, Wyoming and Cedar City, Utah. He served honorably in the LDS Missouri Independence Mission. He met his eternal companion Roylene Cooper at BYU and they were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1976. He loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and loved serving in the primary. He also loved his current calling as the Bishop of the Sunset 10th Ward and enjoyed working in the Provo Temple. He was a very loyal and hard working husband and father. His wife, children and grandchildren were his first priority. He was always a big tease and enjoyed life. He knew and loved the Lord. He is survived by his wife, Roylene Cooper Lunt; their four children, Dustin & Brittanie Lunt of Provo, Utah, Natalie & Brian Tooley of Nampa, Idaho, Jake and Kayla Lunt of Spanish Fork, Utah, and Cameron Lunt of American Fork, Utah; his 10 grandchildren with two on the way, who were the joy in his life; his Mother, Carma Lunt of Layton, Utah; three brothers, Steve (Linda) Lunt, Scott (Janet) Lunt, Kirk (Vicki) Lunt, and 2 sisters, Sharon (Kevin) Wilkinson and Renee (Kirk) Nicholls; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the Sunset Stake Center, 1560 South 1100 West, Provo, Utah. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, Friday, August 22, from 6-8:00 p.m. and at the church Saturday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
