    Marrion Golding Leifson

    December 27, 1936 - November 24, 2014

“I did it my way” Marrion Golding Leifson age 77, was reunited with the love of her life, her husband, Reed Leifson, on November 24, 2014 in Provo, Utah. Mom left this life with the full knowledge of whom she is and where she is going. She is now enjoying a glorious reunion with the loved ones who have preceded her. We are sad to have her leave and will miss her dearly but we are comforted to know that she has gone on to meet those that she has missed so and are waiting to welcome her home beyond the veil. Marrion was born in Price, Utah December 27, 1936 to Marion Qudelas Golding and Lois Hamblin Golding. She loved her life growing up in Wellington and had many stories of her early years. She graduated from Carbon School and from the LDS seminary system. Marrion was proud of the time she spent at the College of Eastern Utah and of serving as a stake missionary. She wed her lifelong companion of 49 years, Reed Leifson in the Manti Temple on May 17, 1957. Our family will remember Mom as being patient, kind and loving. To Mom family was everything. We had 12 aunts and uncles and we were intimately engaged with every one of them. Our home was always a warm inviting place where family and friends would gather and visit for hours. The joys of Mom's life were being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many capacities throughout her life. The greatest delight in Marrion's life was her family. She is survived by her four children; Dale (Delene) Leifson of Stuttgart, Germany; Lois Martino of Heber, Eileen Leifson of Provo; and Pamela (Danny) Evans of Salem; but probably the thing Marrion loved the most was being a grandmother to her 12 grandchildren; Dena, Dane, Robert, Jessica, Molli, Christopher, Gentry, Colton, Lillian, Derek, Angela, and Mathew and 4 great grandchildren Jayden, Lindsey, Porter and Jayce. Marrion is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and a brother and 2 sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son in law Tracy Martino and her 8 siblings. Funeral services will be held Monday December 1, at 11:00 a.m. in the Grandview 1st Ward Chapel, 1555 North 1350 West, Provo, Utah. Friends and family may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, Sunday evening, from 6-8 p.m. or Monday morning at the Grandview 1st Ward Chapel, one hour prior to services. Interment, East Lawn Memorial Hills. Condolences may be sent to www.bergmortuary.com.
