    Mary McGlone Anderson

    May 8, 1929 - September 27, 2021

    Mary McGlone Anderson passed away September 27, 2021. She was born at her home in Spanish Fork, Utah on May 8, 1929, to Mary Kathryn Montgomery and A.E. (Mac) McGlone. She graduated from Spanish Fork High School and four years of Seminary in 1947. Mary moved with her family to Ogden in 1948, where she met her husband C. Reed Anderson on a blind date. They escaped to Las Vegas, Nevada on September 3, 1949, to be married. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in all the auxiliary programs. Her favorites were Relief Society and the Humanitarian programs at the Orem 10th Ward. She worked in the Provo Temple for five years and enjoyed the serenity there. Mary was an active member of the Orem Camp of Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She also had a group of friends in a fun book club. She was employed at Geneva Federal Credit Union for 25 years and continued to work when the credit union changed to Family First. Mary is survived by five daughters and one son: Pam (Greg) DuVal, Kirk R. (Patricia) Anderson, Julie Johnson, Jeanne (Blaine) Walker, Robyn (Bruce) Simmons and Jana (Rick) Scott; 24 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and brother, Larry A. McGlone. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 40 years, C Reed Anderson; three sisters and their spouses: Jean (Richard) Mendenhall, Nora (Frank) Nelson, Joyce (Ray) Nielson and sister-in-law, Marjorie (Larry) McGlone. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 1, 2021, at the Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, Orem, Utah. Condolences may be expressed at www.bergmortuary.com.
