Norma Lund Davenport Obituary (1934

Our Mother and friend Norma Lund Davenport was happily reunited with her sweetheart and best-friend October 3, 2013. She was born the oldest of twins (girl and boy) January 16, 1934 to Marva Lorene Dunton and Willard Hyrum Lund. She loved riding horses, playing ball and working with her hands to bake as well as craft. She made many beautiful crocheted doilies among other wonderful creations that were both appealing to the eye as well as delicious to the taste. During her life she served faithfully in her various callings as Visiting Teacher, Primary Worker, Relief Society Work Day Coordinator and Librarian. Her greatest joy was to have her family gather around and share conversation, good food and games. She was preceded in death by her parents Willard H. Lund and Marva L. Dunton Lund; 2 sisters Verna L. Lawrence and LaDonna L. Waters and her sweetheart Allen LaVell Davenport. Left here to celebrate her life are the following: a sister Dora (Royce) Knight, and her twin brother Norman/Buddy (Karen) Lund; her children Carlotte (Fred) Openshaw, Denise (Duke) Jacobs, Kenneth Allen (Jill) Davenport and Vernon LaVell (Yaara) Davenport; her grandchildren Anelise (Malcolm) Judd, Dustin (McKenzie) Davenport, Dallen (Mary Ann) Davenport, Fred A. Openshaw, Kamaile Lott, Kira Davenport, Carlysa Openshaw, Makayla Davenport, Kyle Lott and Riley Davenport; and great-grandbaby Don/Donny Davenport. Her patient personality and sweet smile will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at the service to be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at the West Mountain LDS Chapel, 5237 West 10400 South, Payson, Utah.
