Norma Olsen Edwards, born in Vernal, Utah on March 7, 1934, passed away July 27, 2010 in Payson, Utah from brain cancer. Norma was an active member in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many capacities. She served two missions, one at 21 years old in Mexico, and one with her sister Lois later in her life. She was very involved in her children's and grandchildren's lives - never missing a program, graduation or activity. She loved animals. Norma was the youngest of nine children. She earned her bachelors degree in elementary education at BYU. There she met and married Hugh Edwards Dec. 1, 1962, in the Manti Temple. Preceded in death by her parents, Otto Norman Olsen & Mable Augusta Hanson Olsen, and her dear husband Hugh Ted Edwards. Survived by her five children; Melinda (Don) Perkins, Marsha (Carl) Carter, Scott (Linda) Edwards, Kirk Edwards, Sonia (Garth) Rogers and 18 grandchildren. Also survived by her siblings; Ray Olsen, Helen Mitchell, Marva Johnson, and Elaine Huber. Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Monday, August 2, 2010 at the Spring Lake 3rd Ward Chapel, 952 W. 1580 S., Payson, UT. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Orem, 500 N. State Street, Sunday evening from 6 until 8 and at the church Monday one hour prior to services.
