    Patricia Mae Easton Puckett

    February 8, 1929 - December 20, 2015

Patricia Mae Easton Puckett passed away peacefully from causes incident to age on December 20, 2015, in her home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Martinez, CA, on February 8, 1929, to Andrew Easton Jr and Audrey Netta Wareing Hillam. While attending BYU, she met Eldon Hardy Puckett. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on September 8, 1948. They were blessed with seven children. Pat was the motivating force behind many of her family’s adventures and accomplishments. She moved her family over 26 times, much of it overseas. She created a comfortable and beautiful home wherever she was planted including the South Pacific, California, and Utah Valley. Pat was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and dedicated her life to serving others. She served missions with her husband in Washington D.C., at the Provo Temple, and accompanied her husband when he served as MTC president in Western Samoa. Her grandchildren will remember how each visit to her home would include a special treat from Grandma. She will be remembered for her raisin filled cookies, jello jigglers, and the endless gum and fruit snacks found in her amazing purse. She is survived by her children, Ellen (Roy) Luker, Becky (Brad) Walker, Doug (Debbie) Puckett, Martha (Ken) Bauman, Carol (David) Smith, and David (Kathy) Puckett, along with 27 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sweetheart, Eldon; her son, Mark; her parents; her brother, Andrew Easton; and his wife, Wilma (Louder). The family wishes to thank the friends, neighbors, hospice care workers, and other healthcare professionals who helped make her last days so comfortable. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 28, 2015, at the Vineyard 7th Ward Chapel, 1160 West 400 South, Orem, Utah. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, Sunday, December 27, from 6-8:00 p.m. and at the church Monday from 10-10:45 p.m. prior to services. Burial will take place in the Orem City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Perpetual Education Fund. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.bergmortuary.com.
