Ray Clark Peery Obituary (1953

Ray Clark Peery, our loving Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend passed away on February 13, 2020 in Pleasant Grove, Utah surrounded by his family after a 2 1/2 year battle with cancer. Ray was born August 8, 1953 in Provo, Utah to Sheldon Woodson Peery and Leona Joyce Long. Ray enjoyed country music, watching sports and was even involved in dirt bike racing, playing softball, and followed his parent’s love of bowling. He enjoyed horses and even had a few horses that he would race. He also enjoyed raising and racing pigeons. Doing anything outdoors was his passion including, bow hunting, fishing, and driving his jeep on any dirt road. Ray had several jobs including working at Geneva Steel, driving trucks that took him through all 48 states, and most recently working as an Oiler at Kapstone Corp., where he enjoyed working. Ray is survived by his two children, Sara (Cody) Fox and Tyson Ray Peery; grandchildren, Rayce Cody Fox and Easton Raylyn Fox; and sibling Ann (Ron) Storrs. He was preceded in death by his father, Sheldon Woodson Peery; mother, Leona Joyce Peery; brother, Max Woodson Peery; and granddaughter, Jersey Raylyn Fox. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at the Berg Orem Chapel, 500 North State Street, Orem, Utah. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 -10:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.bergmortuary.com.
