Robert George Pasquaye
November 12, 1942 - November 9, 2013
Robert George Pasquaye, 70, died quietly on November 9, 2013 at Hoag Hospital in Irvine, CA. Born Nov. 12, 1942 in Lyndhurst, NJ, to Harry and Katherine DiMarco Pasquaye. The family moved from New Jersey to Southern California, where he attended school, graduating from St. Anthony’s High School in 1959, and earned an accounting degree from UCLA in 1963. He worked for Treasure Craft, Colco Investment Company and National Housing Development. Bob loved baseball, tabasco, a good joke, and a delicious meal, but nothing compared to the delight he took in any activity with his son, Justin. Whether it was playing a game of cards, riding dirt bikes, or driving his rhino at the river, his happiest moments were spent with those he loved. Bob enjoyed working, even after suffering a heart attack and a quadruple bypass, he took his health issues in stride, appreciating every day, and reminding us through example that attitude really is everything. “Pops” applied this fearless perseverance to fatherhood; he was a best friend, a trusted advocate, and an unwavering supporter. He took great pride in the successes and achievements of his family and friends. His enthusiasm and the way he genuinely enjoyed life will be greatly missed. He left behind Justin Pasquaye (Rachel Tarras) Irvine, CA. and Benjamin Gordon, Charleston, SC, both sons of former wife, Denise Pasquaye-Gordon, Long Beach, CA. and grandson, Corbin Tarras. He was preceded in death by his parents. Private family services were held and condolences may be sent through his obituary at www.bergmortuary.com.
