Robert Dean Taylor

–

Provo, Utah

Robert Dean Taylor passed peacefully surrounded by family on February 13, 2019.

Bob was born on February 16, 1939 to Dean and Blanche Taylor of Provo, UT. He married his sweetheart, Gelene P Bame, on June 19, 1958 in the Salt Lake Temple, and had two sons, Kirt and Bryan. He worked at Meadow Gold Dairy and later opened his own insurance business. He enjoyed the outdoors which included snowmobiling and hunting. He was very skilled in woodworking and gardening. You could often find him in the garage tinkering with his ‘55 Chevy Cameo and his Allis-Chalmers tractor. His children and grandchildren will remember that he taught them how to keep an immaculate garage−his vehicles were always showroom presentable inside and out. He also instilled the value of hard work to his family, and the importance of a well-cooked steak. Even when he was ill he was taking care of his responsibilities before the sun even rose. Robert was a great patriarch to his family and will be remembered as such.

He will be joining his parents and brother, Randy G Taylor. Those who will be mourning his loss are: Gelene Taylor, Kirt (Nancy) Taylor, Bryan (Karla) Taylor, Josh (Amber) Taylor, Justin (Chelsea) Taylor, Erika (Gavin) Beagley, and Jace (Stephanie) Taylor; his step-grandkids; and his 5 great-grandkids, Brynnlie, Dylan, Miken, Mckinley, and Brock.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center Street, Provo, Utah. Friends may call at the mortuary Monday, February 18, from 6-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00-10:50 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Provo City Cemetery.
