Sena Elvera Kennedy Casper Obituary (1932

Sena Elvera Kennedy Casper, born February 4, 1932 to Don William and Sena Hartense Crowther Kennedy at Aurora, Utah. She was the 1st child in a family of 5 children. In her early years Elvera lived with her family in a small 2 room house in Aurora. In 1946 she moved with her family to Mapleton, Utah. Sena Elvera Kennedy married Kenneth Glen Casper, July 10, 1948 in Provo, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti, Utah LDS Temple May 5, 1990. They lived in Provo, Utah, later living in both California and Nevada, then returning to Orem, Utah where they purchased a small white frame home where they lived for several years adding many rooms and children. They had 8 children, 5 girls and 3 boys, Judy Kay, Michael Glenn, Nancy Kaye, Sandra Lynn, Kenneth Lee, Rickey Don, Sherry DeAnn and Sena Michelle. They worked very hard to make a nice home and a good life for their family. She loved crocheting, painting and really enjoyed playing Bingo. She also enjoyed her trips to the Pleasant Grove McDonalds with her grandson Jesse for a “Dr. Pepper no ice” as well as her time with many friends at the Jacobs Senior Center in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Kenneth Glen passed away May 2, 1989. After his death she lived for a short time in Ivins and Washington, Utah. Her last place of residency was in Pleasant Grove, Utah, living with her youngest daughter Michelle and her grandson Jesse. Sena Elvera Kennedy Casper passed peacefully in her sleep the morning of April 24, 2015. She is survived by 6 Children, Michael Glenn (Kathleen)Lehi, Utah; Sandra Lynn (Dale Pratt), Oak City, Utah; Kenneth Lee “Beany” (Rebecca), Orem, Utah; Rickey Don (LoReen), Orem, Utah; Sherry DeAnn (Robert Trafny) California and; Sena Michelle (Andrew Hollobaugh), Pleasant Grove, Utah; 28 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughters Judy Kay and Nancy, and 1 grandson Joshua. Also preceding her in death were her parents and brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Garden 6th Ward Chapel, 905 North 500 West, Pleasant Grove, Utah. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center street, Thursday from 6-8:00 p.m. and at the church Friday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, East Lawn Memorial Hills.
