Stacie Lynn Dunsdon
March 8, 1973 - July 20, 2020
Our sweet, gentle, and loving sister Stacie Lynn Dunsdon passed away in her sleep on July 20, 2020 in Provo, Utah at the age of 47. Stacie Lynn was born on March 8, 1973 in American Fork, Utah to Irvin Paul Sr. and Betty Sue Dunsdon. She was the last born of five children and an identical twin to Tracie Jo. Stacie Lynn attended elementary schools throughout Utah County, and Granite High and Murray High Schools in Salt Lake Valley. She was very artistic and loved to do arts and crafts. She loved the outdoors and one of her favorite places was the beautiful state of Oregon, where she lived for a short time. She loved a good hike in her younger years. She loved to watch the Chargers play football in the fall and the Utah Jazz in the winter. She was a movie buff, and a television mystery enthusiast, especially Supernatural. She was an old school rock and roll music chick. She loved everything James Dean and had collected memorabilia to decorate her home with. She was a Dr. Pepper drinker, candy eater, and Taco Bell steak salad lover. Stacie Lynn struggled most of her life with learning disabilities and hearing voices but one thing that worked at full capacity was her heart. She had a heart of gold and was always there to help anyone in need. She was always the one to call and check on you if you were down or sick, and never hesitated to offer her assistance to help you heal. Stacie Lynn spent many years taking care of our mom when the rest of us couldn’t. She made sure every need was met and that mom was safe, fed, clean, and always had a fresh Diet Pepsi. They shared a very special relationship and when mom was in the Beehive Home Stacie Lynn would visit a few times a week to watch their television shows together. When mom passed away on July 18th she came back and took Stacie Lynn home to heaven with her. They just couldn’t bear being apart even in death. Stacie Lynn was the mother of three beautiful girls who she loved with all her heart and was so proud of. Because of her mental illness, she was not always able to take care of or raise them but she loved them so very much and wanted the best for them. She made many sacrifices for their benefit and to help them have a happier life then she felt she could provide. One thing was certain, she loved them beyond measure. She had a great sense of humor and made friends easily. In the last few years, she was able to attend the Wasatch Club House in Provo where she worked in the kitchen preparing meals. She loved going there and made many friends. As a family, we are grateful for the friends that made Stacie Lynn feel included and loved. Stacie Lynn is survived by her father, Irvin Paul Sr.; sisters, Paula, Janett (Brett), Tracie Jo, and Jeri Ruth (Brennin); favorite brothers, Irvin Paul “Irv” and Jayson; as well as her three daughters, Samantha Lynn, Savannah, and Taylor. She is preceded in death by her beloved mother Betty by only a day and a half. We find peace knowing they are together. Joint graveside services will be held for Stacie Lynn and our mom Betty at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street, Provo, Utah. Pavilion at the Cremation Garden (West End). Please bring your own chair, wear a mask, and observe social distancing. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.bergmortuary.com.
