    Virginia Mae Naugle

    March 11, 1924 - December 25, 2016

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was reunited with our Dad on Christmas Day, at Stonehenge Care Facility in American Fork, Utah. Mom was born March 11, 1924 in Larned, Kansas to Orion Cleo and Gladys Stephenson. Mom was the oldest of 5 children, all of whom preceded her in death. Mom was serving as a home service missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when she met Dad. Mom and Dad married April 30, 1944 in Kansas and were sealed together in the Salt Lake Temple on November 14, 1945. They moved to Orem, Utah in 1964. Mom was a devoted wife and mother and a very hard worker. She was dedicated to her genealogy. She loved to garden, as was evident by her vegetable and flower gardens. She loved good books up to the time she could no longer read. All of her children and grandchildren have benefitted from her sewing skills, including quilts for all and wedding dresses for her daughters Karen and Rhonda. She is survived by her children, Judith Mae (Bill) of California; Kathryn (David) of West Jordan; Stephen (Pam) of Pleasant Grove; Karen (Terry) of Orem; Rhonda (Stephen) of Orem; 27 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Elmes and 4 grandsons: Jared Bethers, Timothy Parker, Matthew Keck and Matthew Bartholomew. Mom will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Sharon Park 5th Ward Chapel, 225 East 200 North, Orem, Utah. Friends may call from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Orem City Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at www.bergmortuary.com.
