    Wallace Edward Woodbury

    November 20, 1926 - February 8, 2021

Orem, UT - Wallace Edward Woodbury, “Ed” age 94 passed away peacefully at home on February 8, 2021. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle was born in Hinckley, Utah to Wallace Abram Woodbury and Gladys Bennett Woodbury on November 20, 1926. Following his discharge from the U.S. Navy, he attended Brigham Young University where he met and married Novella Espinosa in 1950 in the Manti Utah Temple. They were married for 64 years when Novella passed away in 2015. Ed loved his family. He loved to fish and enjoyed hunting in his early years. He was a BYU Cougar fan and enjoyed season football tickets for many years, along with other countless BYU events. He worked hard to provide for his family, including a 30+ year career working for Geneva Steel. Ed was also a dedicated home teacher, living in the Sharon Park Ward for close to 65 years where he made many good friends. Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Novella Espinosa Woodbury. He is survived by his daughter, Jeanne W. Brandon (Howard); sons, Alan E. Woodbury and Brian W. Woodbury (Lisa); grandchildren: Lance Brandon (Angela), Jacob Brandon (Angela), Stacey Sanderson (Richard), Ben Brandon (Amelia), Mark Woodbury (Olivia), Linda Woodbury, Aaron Woodbury (April), and Ashley Neese (Brad); 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Grandpa will be remembered by his grandchildren for spending time with them. “He who gives money gives some, he who gives time gives more, and he who gives of himself gives all.”-Thomas S. Monson. On every trip to the Rec Center, and every football game, and every fishing trip, Grandpa gave something of himself. The family would like to express deep appreciation to Lori Gibbons, her family, and Tim Stephon for their love and many hours of service in Dad’s behalf. Graveside services will be held for family and close friends at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 11, 2021 at the Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, Orem, Utah. Masks and social distancing guidelines will be observed. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.bergmortuary.com.
