Sondra Green

Sondra Green of Heber City, Utah, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2026. She was born in 1942 to Robert Raymond Green and Virginia (Tucker) Green, also of Heber City, Utah. Sondra married David Schmutzler with whom she had three children, Brighton Schmutzler Cunningham (Andy), Shane Schmutzler (Becky), and Dunn Schmutzler. She is preceded in death by her father and mother and is survived by her step-mother, Shirley, her seven siblings, three children and six grandchildren.

Sondra was a loving mother and wife and great example to her children and everyone around her. She found great joy in the theatre, traveling with her family, riding her horses and gardening. Above all, she cherished time with her family. She remained a devoted learner throughout her life and found fulfillment in serving others. She was a great example of the scripture Mosiah 2:17 “And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God”. Sondra was deeply loved and profoundly appreciated for all she did for us, and for the many ways she enriched our lives. She will be missed dearly.

Family, friends and others whose lives she touched are invited to her viewing Monday, February 9, 2026 from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Wheeler Park Ward building at 2285 S Daniel Rd., Daniel, Utah, followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Heber City Cemetery.
